Foreign Employment Employee Permit
MCIL is responsible for effective and efficient Foreign Employee Employment Permit (‘FEEP’) services through the implementation of the following duties:
- Analyse labour workforce demand and supply to inform the assessment and issuance of Employment Permit (EP) in accordance with PART IX of the Labour and Employment Relations Act 2013 (‘Act’) and the Amendment Act 2023
- Monitor compliance of employers and employees issued with Foreign Employee Employment Permits;
It is pertinent that any non-citizen wishing to work in Samoa must apply for a valid Employment Permit at MCIL. A permit granted may be subject to such conditions deemed appropriate by the CEO, and it is valid for a maximum duration of up to three (3) years.Â
